Introducing Tables, a new way to interact with your Documents
Though we love experimentation, here at Playmaker, we try not to “re-invent” the wheel. Instead, we aim to speed it up using what we already have. It’s one of our core beliefs as a company—what gives us our edge, being an early stage startup.
In our most recent sprint, we took two tools our users live their every day lives in & made a product they love every bit of time spent using it. No wheels changed, just pure acceleration.
Documents + Spreadsheets = Tables.
The state of Document Workflows
In all the conversations we’ve had, customers we’ve worked with & problem statements we’ve come across—documents took the center stage.
Documents, to company workflows, are like what email is to communication. And more so, for non-internet companies. From contracts and invoices to reports and analytics, we're swimming in a sea of information.
Safe to say, businesses run on documents.
But, it’s not all sunshine. Traditional document workflows are time-consuming, prone to errors & fall short when it comes to efficiently extracting, analyzing and organizing the data within these documents.
Many (if not most) businesses still rely on manual data entry or basic OCR solutions. This is especially true when dealing with complex, tabular data—the kind that's critical for decision-making but difficult to process automatically.

We’ll create a draft column structure based on your documents. You can upload more later.

We make a few columns based on your files, you can edit/delete these or add more of your own.
You can create different columns for Text, Text Area, Number, Currency, Date, Percent & Reference Lists—with even more column types coming soon. Depending on your column type, you can select a preset for how you want to view your data.

Realistically speaking, we went from a folder full of documents to a beautiful table with organized data in less than 15 minutes. Would’ve taken hours-to-days if done manually.
